The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association (NLCSA) is seeking exceptional Occupational Health and Safety Advisors to join our Mount Pearl team. We’re more than just an organization – we’re a community dedicated to fostering a thriving workplace culture, and we’re excited to offer a host of benefits that make it an amazing place to work.
As our new Occupational Health and Safety Advisors, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, from conducting training (live virtual instructor led and in classroom sessions) to auditing our member companies participating in the Certificate of Recognition® ( COR®) Program. Integral to this role is also delivering member services and championing general health and safety initiatives.
The ideal candidates will bring a Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, along with a proven track record in the construction industry. Familiarity with the COR® Program and certification as a WorkplaceNL instructor for training standards would be an advantage.
Furthermore, qualifications like the Canadian Registered Safety Professional® (CRSP®), Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC), or National Construction Safety Officer™ (NCSO™) Designations will be highly regarded.
What sets us apart is our commitment to work-life balance, and our mission to make a real, positive impact on the health and safety of workers in our province. If you’re passionate about safety, value a supportive work environment, and want to be part of an organization that’s actively shaping the future of workplace well-being, we want to hear from you! You don’t need to meet every qualification to be considered. If you’re excited about this opportunity and feel you could be a good fit, we encourage you to apply.
