NLCSA CEO’s Retirement Announcement
The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association’s (NLCSA) Board of Directors have announced that Jackie Manuel, CEO, has decided to retire on December 1st, 2023. “The Board is grateful for Jackie’s steadfast leadership over these past 19+ years,” says Board Chair Warrick Butler. “We are thankful for Jackie’s remarkable vision, passion and commitment to improving health and safety in the construction industry and in the province. 2023 Construction Safety Stand Down
The safety stand-down is an opportunity for management to engage directly with workers, discuss the job activities and the hazards associated with them, and determine if any changes can be made to improve their health and safety. It also demonstrates the company’s commitment to ensuring everyone works in a safe manner. NLCSA Launches NHSA™ Designation
The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association is excited to announce the launch of the National Health and Safety Administrator (NHSA™) Designation. The National Health and Safety Administrator (NHSA™) program and designation provides formal, entry-level training to individuals who are active in the administration of their company’s health and safety program but do not currently possess a minimum of three (3) years of construction safety-related field experience in the last 10 years.
