Back in May, NLCSA hosted the inaugural NLCSA Safety Summit, bringing together 18 voices from across NL's construction sector for a focused, honest conversation about the state of safety in our industry. WorkplaceNL has published its 2025 Construction Industry Statistics fact sheet, providing an overview of injury trends and industry performance in Newfoundland and Labrador's construction sector. Highlights from the report include: Construction employment increased by 5.8% between 2021 and 2025. The lost-time injury rate decreased by 11.2% since 2021. The hand injury rate decreased by 49% since 2021. These results reflect ongoing efforts across the industry to improve workplace health and safety while supporting a growing workforce.
