Construction Industry Incident Alerts
Incident alerts are a tool that allows everyone in the construction industry to learn from incidents that have occurred at other worksites, and take action to prevent a similar incident from occurring on their own! Sharing information helps us create safety workplaces and improve the safety culture across our industry. This initiative was built with the support of, and collaboration with, the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCA) and members of the construction industry.
Employers still have the responsibility to provide notice of injuries and incidents, as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act, to WorkplaceNL and the OHS Division of Digital Government and Service NL. This initiative was designed to allow lessons learned to be shared across the industry.
