Move Well – Work Well Week Resources

The NLCSA has gathered the following information that can prove useful in assisting with the identification and control of hazards associated with musculoskeletal injuries (MSI’s). These tools have been gathered from a variety of reputable sources but are intended only as guidance. Where information contained within one of these documents is inconsistent with the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, the Regulations will always take precedence.

MSI Hazard & Controls

The following information sheets have been developed for the construction industry, by the NLCSA’s sister Association, Infrastructure Health and Safety Association, in Ontario.  These sheets have generally been organized by task/trade and are provided as a reference only. They are not intended to take the place of a proper hazard assessment and where there is a discrepancy, the NL OHS Regulations take precedent.

MSI Toolbox Talks

Some of the following toolbox talks have been provided with permission from Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA).  NL OHS Regulations take precedent.
