The Board of Directors of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association (NLCSA) advises that Cherie Whelan, CEO, has given notice that she has accepted another opportunity, and that her last day with NLCSA will be Friday, February 27, 2026. The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association (NLCSA), in cooperation with the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission (WorkplaceNL), is pleased to advise that there will be no increase in the construction industry levy1 for 2026 - it will remain at 10 cents per $100 of assessable payroll. The Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA), which includes every provincial and territorial construction safety association in Canada, recently conducted a national survey and gathered feedback from stakeholders on the NCSO® and NHSA™ Designations.
