Occupational Health and Safety Advisor – Gander, NL

The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association is seeking applications for the position of Occupational Health and Safety Advisor/Trainer. The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the Association’s mandate in central Newfoundland by conducting training, auditing, member services, and general health and safety promotion.

The ideal candidate would possess a Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, have experience in the construction industry, knowledge of the Certificate of Recognition® (COR®) Program and be a WorkplaceNL certified instructor for any or all of the following training standards: Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Traffic Control Level 1 or 2, Power Line Hazards, Supervisor Health and Safety or Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

Canadian Registered Safety Professional® (CRSP®), Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) or National Construction Safety Officer® (NCSO™) Designations would be considered an asset.
