Join the NLCSA on Thursday, May 11, from 8:00-11:00 am, as we celebrate North American Occupational Safety and Health Week (NAOSH Week) with a special event at Cineplex Theatre in the Avalon Mall, St. John’s.
To celebrate the importance of health and safety this event will feature two speakers plus a networking opportunity:
- Christa Steeves, a marketer and communicator at Well Being Coaching, will speak on mental health in the workplace and what organizations can do to help employees.
- Kyle Rees, a lawyer at O’Dea Earle, will speak about of potential liability of equipment operators and site owners and the potential criminal consequences for failing to keep workers safe. There will also be a discussion on the steps that site owners can take to minimize the chances of being involved in a lawsuit for personal injury on a worksite.
Tickets to this event are just $25 plus HST, and seats are limited. To register call Georgina Jackman at gjackman@nlcsa.com or call 709-739-7000, ext. 211 or click here for the registration form.
