During the summer months we need to be sun-safe if working outdoors.  Drinking plenty of water will help with hydration and lubricate joints to minimize injury, while wearing sun screen and UV protection tinted safety glasses will help protect your skin and eyes.

Heat stress is a serious condition that can happen any time of the year, due to heat producing equipment, machinery and/or spaces that are not properly temperature controlled.  WHSCC is offering a free 1.5 hour Heat Stress webinar on Wednesday, June 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m..  The webinar will address the signs of heat stress, how to assess a potential heat hazard, and how to prevent heat stress by managing heat hazards in your workplace.  For more information on the webinar visit WHSCC’s prevention services webpage.
