Every day is an important day to keep health and safety top of mind, but each year the first full week of May is officially designated as North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) week. NAOSH week started in 1997 through an agreement between Canada, the United States and Mexico, but the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers built the groundwork ten years earlier.
As part of NAOSH week we asked our staff at NLCSA to submit some photos of people and/or things that inspire them to work safe and to tell us in a few words why they work safe everyday.
Each staff person received a personal framed collage (some of which are shown below) and all of their answers were compiled into the text illustration (also shown below).
